US Postal Service Releases Johnny Cash Forever Stamp

June 09, 2013

This week, the United States Post Office issued a new Forever stamp commemorating The Man In Black, legendary singer Johnny Cash.

“Dad was no stranger to licking a stamp,” said Kathy Cash, one of Johnny Cash’s four daughters. “And we have the letters to prove it. Mom and Dad had a four-year courtship when he was stationed in Germany, and they wrote ten thousand letters to each other.”

“And when he heard an up-and-coming singer on the radio he liked, he’d sit down and write a letter of encouragement,” she added.

Johnny Cash Forever Stamps are now available in post offices nationwide.
