During the Sin City panel at Comic-Con, the stylish trailer for A Dame to Kill For was revealed. The sequel is based on the second book in Frank Miller's Sin City series with one of the smaller plots coming from the short story "Just Another Saturday Night," collected in Booze, Broads & Bullets, the sixth book in the comic series. Two original stories written by Miller were also created exclusively for the film. Miller told the crowd in San Diego that he and Robert Rodriguez are "already talking about Sin City 3. So you'd better show up for number two or they won't pay for it." OK!
The co-directors gave particular praise to Jessica Alba for being so intense on set that she intimidated them. "She showed up so in character that we thought she hated us," said Rodriguez. Added Miller: "My first thought when I saw Jessica was 'I haven't seen her in eight years. How did I piss her off?' "
Sin City: A Dame to Kill For stars Alba, Rosario Dawson, Jaime King, Jude Ciccolella, Powers Boothe, Mickey Rourke, and Bruce Willis. Newcomers to the film universe include Eva Green, Josh Brolin, Jamie Chung, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Dennis Haysbert, Marton Csokas, Christopher Lloyd, Julia Garner, Juno Temple, Ray Liotta, Stacy Keach, Christopher Meloni, Lady Gaga, Jeremy Piven and Crystal McCahill...and Lady Gaga (pictured above).
