If you're a fan of pop culture sci-fi mashups, Star Wars, disco, movies about pimps, and cheap plastic toys then you seriously need to stop what you're doing and check out this Kickstarter project from The Sucklord and DKE Toys.
At San Diego Comic-Con 2012 DKE Toys debuted the first 5 sculpts of The Super Sucklord's mini figure line, S.U.C.K.L.E. (Simply Unimportant Collectable Kitschy Little Eyesores). Sculpted by George Gaspar/October Toys.
The Super Sucklord and his brand Suckadelic have been making custom resin art "toys" for over 10 years. Classic vintage toys have always been a huge inspiration for his work. S.U.C.K.L.E. pays homage to the classic mid-eighties toy line M.U.S.C.L.E. by Mattel. The figures are roughly the same size and made similarly out of solid color injection molded PVC plastic. Each of the Suckadelic characters will be immortalized in the same mini wrestler style as the original M.U.S.C.L.E. figures and stand approximately 2 inches tall. If you are already a M.U.S.C.L.E. collector these figures should display perfectly with your vintage figures.
Since San Diego Comic-Con 2012, 5 new sculpts were created, bringing the total to 10 unique figures for SUCKLE Series 1.
The ten figures in Series 1 will include:
Sucklord 66, Sucklord 43, Sucklord 16, Ass Wipe, Necromancer, Galactic Jerkbag, Ira Tyranusberg, Another Bitch, Vectar, and Gay Empire.
Through this Kickstarter we hope to fund the production line of these figures so that they can be made available to stores around the world and create the basis for a line that can continue to recreate ALL the characters in the Suckadelic universe.
PLEASE SHARE & REPOST! I am reaching out to you today with a heavy heart to share the news that our dear friend and beloved artist, Brian Ewing, has been diagnosed with Stage IV colon cancer. Brian has been hospitalized since early March and is fighting for his life. He has brought so much joy and inspiration through his art, and now he needs our support.
