Joss Whedon's "Much Ado About Nothing" (6.7.13)

The greatest nerd-director of all time, Joss Whedon (Avengers, Buffy The Vampire Slayer, Dr. Horrible, everything else you've ever loved) has announced a June 7th, 2013 release date for his version of Shakespeare's "Much Ado About Nothing". Filmed over a short 12 days, in black-and-white no less, Whedon's slightly modernized adaptation stars Amy Acker and Alexis Denisof as Beatrice and Benedick, the brilliant couple that love to hate each other. This adaptation is described as a "modernization" of the play, though it keeps the original period dialogue intact.
