We've already been blogging about the amazing end credits for Guardians of the Galaxy. Now here's an awesome clip that was originally intended as a credits tag, but was so funny they stuck it in the movie itself. Though actor Vin Diesel provided the voice of Groot in the movie, it was director James Gunn who provided baby Groot’s dance moves.
As Gunn explained to Yahoo! Movies:
“Baby Groot dancing is 100 percent me. I was too embarrassed for anyone to be there, so I made everyone leave the room and I set up a camera and I videotaped myself dancing. Then I sent the video to the animators and had them animate over that. I begged them not to leak the video! Two of my closest friends came to an early screening and said ‘Hey, I recognize those moves! That’s you dancing isn’t it?!’”
If you're one of the few people who've yet to see Guardians of the Galaxy, Groot heroically sacrifices himself for fellow Guardians Star-Lord, Gamora, Drax and Rocket. But since he’s got the ability to re-grow, he returns soon after in the form of a potted baby tree. And now his funky dance moves are sweeping the nation.
