Goonies Comic-Con Cast Reunion Cancelled, but Movie Sequel is Still On!

We were really looking forward to waxing nostalgic with the original cast of Goonies tonight at Comic-Con, but last-minute scheduling conflicts prevented the reunion. The stars of the 1985 movie, including Sean Astin and Josh Brolin, had been expected to join a panel discussion moderated by Clare Kramer of "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" fame.

However, as every Goonies fan knows: Goonies never say die! According to Goonies director, Richard Donner, the Goonies Sequel is still on! When asked whether Astin, Brolin, Corey Feldman, Ke Huy Quan, Jeff Cohen, Martha Plimpton, Kerri Green and the rest of the Goonies gang would be returning for the movie, Donner said he hoped "they all" would be back. No word on whether Sloth is attached to the project as of yet...
