Graffiti Artist Arrested For Vandalizing Banksy Art

Graffiti Artist Arrested For Vandalizing Banksy Art

TMZ has reported that 35-year old David William Noll has been charged with felony vandalism for painting over two works by street artist Banksy.  According to the criminal complaint, Noll defaced 2 of Banksy's most famous works -- Girl on Swing and Peeing Dog.

TMZ reports that "the L.A. County D.A. filed four separate vandalism charges, because Noll allegedly defaced both works and 5 days later went back and used paint remover on the walls. Max penalty -- 5 years in prison."

Apparently, Noll filmed himself doing this, and uploaded it to YouTube. Once the complaint came in, the police were able to obtain his information from YouTube via a warrant, and then they went and picked him up. At his mom's house, no less.

The company that owns the Girl On Swing building is jeweler Tarina Tarantino, and they state that Banksy's work increased the property value by $650,000.
